Lisbon man jailed following Burger King bathroom fire in Canton

CANTON — Village police on Friday charged Timothy S. Middlemiss, 27, of 143 Fulton Road, Lisbon, with felony second-degree arson and a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief.

Police allege that at 6:20 p.m. at the Burger King, 18 Route 310, Middlemiss started a fire in the men’s bathroom when he burned a toilet paper dispenser valued at $150.

He was arraigned by Norfolk Town Justice George Grubee and was sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
