Pucks and bucks will be flying Oct. 26 at the Fairgrounds Arena in Watertown when Matt Doheyn's campaign holds a fundraiser at the 1000 Islands Privateers' first game in Watertown.
Mr. Doheny, a city Republican, played hockey in high school. He's also holding a fundraiser at an Adirondack Phantoms event.
The Privateers, who are moving to Watertown after playing in Alexandria Bay, are playing the Cape Cod Blue Fins, which could strain some loyalties in the Doheny family. Mr. Doheny's wife, Mary, is from Massachusetts.
The cost is $40 for a family and $20 for an individual. A donation covers your entry into the game and refreshments.
The invite is attached.
