Ron Cole, a past chairman who ran for county Board of Legislators in 2011, was appointed as chairman of the Jefferson County Democratic Committee last night.

Mr. Cole replaces Sean Hennessey, who took a job as the chief of the Dulles State Office Building.

And just to the north, St. Lawrence County Republicans picked Tom Jenison as their new chairman. Mr. Jenison owns a book store and several properties in Canton. He replaces Nancy Martin, who didn't run for another term.
