The Wall Street Journal reports that Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, will get some help (not coordinated, of course) from a major Democratic super PAC.

A super PAC can raise and spend unlimited amounts of money from corporations and individuals.

A Republican super PAC will also try to buoy the fortunes of Republican Matt Doheny.
