Wendy Long, a Manhattan attorney, will bring her U.S. Senate campaign to Plattsburgh on Thursday.
She is running in the June 26 Republican primary against George Maragos and Rep. Bob Turner, R-New York City.
The event starts at 6 p.m. at the West Side Ballroom. It's hosted by the Upstate New York Tea Party, which had some kind words for Ms. Long, a Republican and c(C)onservative hero.
"Ms. Long is the true conservative in this race," said UNYTEA chairman Mark Barie in a statement. "(H)er extensive background in constitutional law is extremely appealing to our group."
