LOWVILLE — Elaine M. Roose, 27, Croghan, was charged by state police at 11:40 a.m. Friday at 7881 Route 28 in the town with third-degree arson after she allegedly set a vehicle on fire July 31 in the town of Greig.

Police also charged the suspect with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and issuing a false written statement. They said that at about 12 a.m. July 31 she set fire to a vehicle on Greig Road owned by Amber Tuttle, Greig. The vehicle, fully engulfed in flames, was destroyed. Police could provide no further details Sunday.

She is to appear in Town Court.
