SACKETS HARBOR — Featuring veteran blacksmith Kenneth Schwarz, an educational program titled “Reconstruction of Williamsburg’s Revolutionary War Armoury” will be hosted at 7 p.m. July 2 at the Seaway Trail Discovery Center, 401 W. Main St. Admission is free.
Mr. Schwarz, a blacksmith and master at Anderson Blacksmith Shop in Colonial Williamsburg, Va., will demonstrate how he makes copies of 18th century English and American wrought ironwork during the presentation, hosted by the Seaway Trail Foundation.
Mr. Schwarz designs ironwork by studying documented evidence and original pieces.
He uses traditional tools from the colonial era.
