The following motorists are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:
■ Brett M. Compo, 17, of 3774 Marmon Road, Port Leyden, also was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies with failure to keep right and leaving the scene of an accident in connection with a crash about 6 a.m. Sunday on Route 12D in Leyden. Deputies allege he fell asleep at the wheel, causing his truck to crash into a ditch. His blood alcohol content was 0.15 percent, deputies said.
Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication.
■ Alberth J. Madrigal, 19, of Summit, N.J., was charged with aggravated DWI at 12:43 p.m. Monday on Route 283, Watertown, after state police received a call from another motorist.
His BAC was at 0.21 percent, police said. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.
