WELLESLEY ISLAND — Border Patrol agents stopped an Israeli man Tuesday after the man allegedly entered the U.S. illegally at the island.
The agency said at about 3 p.m. agents encountered the 28-year-old man, who was not identified, walking in Wellesley Island State Park. Agents said the man told them he traveled by boat, and had not been inspected by border authorities. It was determined the man used a false name and fraudulent credit card to rent a boat in Canada to travel, agents said. Agents said they later found that the man previously visited America, but that his visa was revoked in February. An immigration judge is to determine the man’s eligibility to stay in the country.
