STAR LAKE Voters in the Clifton-Fine Central School District will go to the polls June 17 to weigh in on a revised school budget that eliminates a half-time assistant principal job.
Last month, the districts proposed budget was defeated 234-135 even though the increase in the tax levy would have been just 0.5 percent.
School Superintendent Regina C. Yeo said board members, including two new ones, decided unanimously to put a revised budget totaling $10,043,401 up for a re-vote. The tax increase will not exceed 0.5 percent.
The rest of the original budget will remain the same. The $49,000 reduction includes the half-time salary and benefits of the half-time assistant principal job.
A budget hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. June 10.
