WATERTOWN Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County is looking for agricultural producers interested in taking a survey and providing input for the development of a six-county regional food hub in Northern New York.
The nonprofit will host a meeting to discuss the matter from 6 to 8 p.m. May 14 at its office, 203 N. Hamilton St.
Under a regional grant, surveys will solicit information to gauge the market and growth potential. The agency also wants to explore where the food hub might be located. Food hubs obtain agricultural products and distribute them locally and statewide.
