The Norwood-Norfolk and Massena Central varsity girls track teams came away with splits in NAC tri-meets held on Thursday.

MEET AT MALONE

In Malone, the Lady Flyers beat Tupper Lake 194-84 but dropped a 184.5-133.5 decision to host Franklin Academy in suffering their first loss of the season.

Brianna Hayes led the way for N-N with wins in the high jump (4’10”) and the long jump (14’9.75”). Kaycie Saucier paced the 800 meters in 2:35 while placing second in both the 1,500 and 3,000 while Maddie Seguin won the 100 hurdles in 18.3 seconds.

MEET AT MASSENA

The host Lady Raiders outscored Salmon River 160-82 for their first win of the season but suffered a 173-111 loss to Canton.

Scoring individual wins for Massena were Brenna Burns-Barnes, who paced the 1,500 in 6:44, and Kahsenniiosha Jacobs, who claimed discus honors at 62’7”. Jacalyn Lamica finished second in the high jump, second in the 100 hurdles and third in the 200 meters.

Tatyanna Figeuroa was the top scorer for Salmon River after winning the shot put at 24’11.5” and third in the discus.
