EVANS MILLS — Three men were charged with possessing fireworks, alcohol and marijuana after a traffic stop at 11:37 p.m. Tuesday on Route 3.

The driver of the vehicle, Danyon R. Spinner, 20, of 16406 Ives Street Road, Watertown, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of alcohol, unlawful dealing with fireworks and sixth-degree conspiracy.

He was charged with conspiracy after deputies said he assisted Joshua M. Jordan, 19, of 22060 Riverbend Drive, Watertown, in giving a false name to deputies. Mr. Jordan allegedly told deputies he was 21-year-old Harry T. Bass-Terperstra and was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation. He also was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol and unlawful dealing with fireworks.

Police said fireworks with a total value of less than $500 were discovered in the vehicle.

Deputies also allegedly found a glass pipe, a synthetic cigarette and marijuana in a red backpack in Mr. Spinner’s possession.

The third passenger, 19-year-old Haidon A. Moss, of 704 Nellis St., was charged on the firework and alcohol possession counts as well. The trio allegedly possessed eight cans of Busch beer and one can of Budweiser beer.

Deputies said they observed open beer cans within arm’s reach of all three occupants. Each man also was cited with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

All three men are to appear in LeRay Town Court.
