CANTON — An Ogdensburg man has been indicted by a St. Lawrence County grand jury on charges of third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, a class D felony, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, both class A misdemeanors.

Mark A. Brossoit, 51, of 821 Main St., was arrested in March for allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine out of his home.

Police said that at about 3:15 p.m. March 1, Mr. Brossoit was in possession of lab equipment consisting of a gas generator, funnels and pliers, solvents including Coleman fuel, catalysts including lithium batteries and reagents including muriatic acid and drain cleaning chemicals. Police said he also had an unspecified amount of methamphetamine and a hypodermic needle.

He is being held at St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, without bail.
