Winners: The winners of the 70th annual Pi Mu Epsilon Interscholastic Mathematics Contest have been announced. The event, sponsored by St. Lawrence University’s department of mathematics, computer science and statistics and the university’s Pi Mu Epsilon chapter, was held on April 9 and attended by 44 students from 11 local school districts. Medals were awarded to the top three overall scorers on the individual portion of the exam and winners who will attend SLU are eligible for the Robert G. Cromie Scholarship.

Winners: Jefferson-Lewis Board of Cooperative Educational Services has announced the winners of the 28th annual Bookmark contest, held each spring to celebrate School Library Media Month. This year’s theme was “Lives Change @ Your Library.” More than 2,500 entrants from 21 local schools representing nine districts participated. Gift certificates for Barnes & Noble were given for first, second and third places.
