This year, the library will also have some special items on sale.
Books culled from the Mahoney Engineering Collection, as well as other rare and collectable books, will be for sale at a separate table, individually priced.
Also, several attractive hunting and fishing poster reproductions, matted, framed, and donated by Bob Bowman, will be for sale.
The library still has copies of the Just Desserts cookbook, compiled by staff and volunteers. It makes a great Mothers (or Fathers) Day present, or a good graduation or wedding gift. A Mothers Day raffle prize basket will be available - buy a cookbook and get 5 chances for the raffle.
The library continues to accept book donations until the day before the sale.
Friends Fall and Spring Book Sales and the fall Silent Auction are the major fundraising events of the year. Proceeds are spent on library programs and materials. In these times of tight funding, the library especially need and appreciates your support.
A major goal this year is to replace computers. Some operate on Windows XP, which is no longer supported by Microsoft, and all see heavy use.
The library also seeks new members of the Friends of Ogdensburg Public Library. Please visit their sale, enjoy the great selection and bargains, and support the worthy cause.
