OGDENSBURG — Due to extensive erosion and continued flooding, a section of the city’s Maple City Trail from the Lake Street Pedestrian Bridge to the Pump House will remain closed until further notice. There is significant erosion damage, which city officials said in a news release is a safety concern, and that anyone trespassing in this area will be subject to a fine.

The section of the trail that follows the former railroad bed along the Oswegatchie River to the Black Bridge has been reopened.
