ADAMS — Caleb Alford tallied six goals as the South Jefferson boys lacrosse team routed Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, 17-2, in a nonleague game on Wednesday.

Benner Geurtsen supplied three goals and four assists, while Dan Smith won 15 faceoffs for the Spartans (2-3).

Tony Thomas made eight saves for the Red Devils (3-1).

n Stephanie Green accounted for five goals and two assists to help power South Jefferson girls lacrosse team to a 15-5 nonleague victory over W.T. Woodson of Fairfax, Va., at the Disney Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla.

Morgan Alexander finished with four goals and two assists, and Maddie Knapp handed out three assists. Courtney Ziegler made five saves for the Spartans (3-2). W.T. Woodson is 5-2.
