WATERTOWN Jefferson Community College will host the third annual Garrett Loomis Fire Safety seminar titled Safety First So Everyone Goes Home from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Sturtz Theater.
Dwelling fires are the focus of this years seminar. Registration is free and open to all fire, rescue and emergency medical services personnel of Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Oswego, Onondaga and Oneida counties.
Billy Goldfeder, deputy fire chief of the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department in Ohio, will lead the four-hour seminar through video, audio and lecture with an in-depth review of recent fire ground events.
