LOWVILLE — Lewis County sheriff’s deputies at 12:41 a.m. Saturday arrested Melissa A. Reed, 26, of 7708 N. State St., on charges of driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Sears Pond Road in the town of Montague.

Deputies said she failed several field sobriety tests, was taken into custody and was processed at the sheriff’s office, where she registered a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes proof of intoxication.

She also was charged with failure to dim her high-beam headlights. She was released with tickets for Montague Town Court.
