DAYTON — The Watertown Privateers used five third-period goals, including the last four of the game, to beat the Dayton Demonz, 8-6, Thursday at the Hara Arena to tie the best-of-three Federal Hockey League first-round series at one game apiece.

Player-coach Brent Clarke netted a hat trick, while Britt Oullette and Matt Graham each generated a goal and two assists for Watertown. Beni Berisha distributed three assists for the Privateers.

Jared Hicks tallied a goal and two assists for Dayton, which won the opening game of the series, 7-4, Tuesday in Dayton.

Game three will be 7:35 tonight at the Hara Arena. The winner will face the defending champion Danbury Whalers in a best-of-five series starting 7:35 p.m. Saturday at the Danbury Arena.
