Three Utica residents were charged in connection with alleged crack cocaine dealing in Jefferson County.

After a nine-month investigation, Roy and Luemetcher T. Diggs, ages 36 and 34, respectively, and Keron K. Gordon, 20, were all charged with felonies.

State police said the three transported crack cocaine from Utica to Jefferson County. Mr. Diggs and Mr. Gordon allegedly then would sell the crack at various locations across the county. According to police, a delivery route between the two areas was established and would be used several times a week to transport drugs.

Mr. Diggs and Mr. Gordon were each charged with seven counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, seven counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree conspiracy, all felonies.

Mrs. Diggs was charged with fourth-degree conspiracy.

All three were arraigned on sealed indictments in Jefferson County Court and entered not-guilty pleas. Mr. Diggs was sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $20,000 bail, while bail was set at $10,000 for Mr. Gordon and at $2,500 for Mrs. Diggs.

The investigation was performed by members of the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force and the Utica-based New York-New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.
