Shane M. Millard, of 267 S. Massey St., Apt. A, was arrested Thursday morning on multiple charges, including a felony, after he reportedly was spotted passed out behind the wheel with his vehicle still in drive.
According to state police, Mr. Millard was northbound on Route 37 in the town of Pamelia at 2:57 a.m. when he was found passed out in his vehicle while still in the driving lane. He refused a breath test at the scene, police said.
On Jan. 1, Mr. Millard was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge after police reportedly found his vehicle in a snowbank on Mullin Street. According to police, he later was convicted of driving while ability impaired in connection with the incident.
Because his driving privilege had been revoked and because this most recent case was alcohol-related, he was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony. Police said Mr. Millard had only a California ID card at the time he was arrested.
He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, arraigned in City Court and held at the jail on $1,000 bail.
