The second installment of the Adirondack Treasure series, “Isle Royale,” will be launched 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20 at Ogdensburg’s Dobisky Center, 100 Riverside Ave.

The authors, Mathew Glavin and Michael Dolan, will sign books and donate $10 from each purchase to the Fort La PrÚsentation Association.

Their book features treasure hunters drawn to Isle Royale, now Chimney Island, in search of the legendary buried treasure. They are soon enmeshed in a plot, also involving North Koreans, to launch a missile with a super-electron magnetic warhead.

Isle Royale was the site of Fort LÚvis where the last battle of the French and Indian War was fought in August 1760. A traditional fable has the French commander burying the equivalent of $50,000 before surrendering to the British.

Chimney Island, opposite Waddington, was significantly damaged during the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway.
