According to a blog posting Thursday afternoon on set up to share news of his progress, Jack is working to regain his strength. The blog says he has begun physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Though he is still coming out of sedation, his father, Edward J. Valentine, wrote, “We are pleased that he is speaking and is aware of things and asking questions. Additional tests will come as he recovers from the pneumonia.”

Jack’s mother, Tracey H. Valentine, wrote that the many messages of prayer and encouragement have given the family comfort and strength during the ordeal.
