MASSENA State police on Wednesday charged Christopher R. LePage, 26, of 355 Main St., with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated-previous conviction in 10 years, both felonies.
Troopers said that at 10:35 p.m. in the parking lot of Pappys bowling Alley on East Orvis Street, they stopped Mr. LePage for speeding and not stopping at a red light. Troopers said a breath test determined Mr. LePage had a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes proof of intoxication. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.
Mr. LePage also was additionally cited with driving at 64 mph in a 35 mph zone, failing to stop at a steady red arrow and passing a red light. He was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court and released under the supervision of probation.
