Winner: Dawn Brown, Salcha, Alaska, formerly of Lowville, placed in two classes of the Feb. 9 ExxonMobil Sled Dog Race, sponsored by the International Sled Dog Racing Association. She took first place in the adult eight-dog speed class, finishing the 20-mile course in 55 minutes and 44 seconds, and took second place in the adult four-dog speed class, finishing the 12-mile course in 35 minutes and 1 second.
