The following people are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:
■ David P. Whiteford, 30, of 7202 State Route 3, Cranberry Lake, was charged by state police with felony DWI early Saturday morning.
Police said Mr. Whiteford was involved in a motor vehicle accident on state Route 3 in Clifton and allegedly left the scene.
Police said that he was later picked up by a passer-by and dropped off at a friends house, 309 Youngs Road, Fine, where he was later arrested.
Mr. Whitefords blood alcohol contact was 0.12 percent. Under state law, a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more constitutes proof of intoxication.
Police said that Mr. Whiteford, who has had a previous DWI conviction in the last 10 years, was not charged with leaving the scene of the accident.
■ Michael J. Markes, 37, of 1177 County Route 37, Massena, was charged by state police with felony aggravated DWI Saturday night.
Police said Mr. Markess vehicle went off the road on County Route 53, Brasher, and was damaged. Mr. Markess blood alcohol content was 0.19 percent. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.
Police said Mr. Markes is being held at St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $1,000 bail.
■ Jeffrey A. Halberg, 48, of 823 Anne St., was also charged by state police with speeding, operation of an unlicensed vehicle, driving with an obstructed view and equipment violations at 8:11 p.m. Saturday on Route 11 in the town of Pamelia.
He refused to take a Breathalyzer test to determine his BAC, state police said.
■ Crystal L. Dynes, 30, of 921 Mill St., was charged by Watertown city police with aggravated DWI and making an improper U-turn at 11:51 p.m. Saturday on the 300 block of Holcomb Street. Her BAC was 0.21 percent.
