PORT LEYDEN — Jeffrey P. Rocker, 45, Port Leyden, was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies with felony driving while intoxicated at 11:33 p.m. Saturday on West Main Street.

He was arraigned in Lowville Village Court and sent to Lewis County jail, Lowville, without bail.

Mr. Rocker had a blood alcohol content of 0.11 percent. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes proof of intoxication.

The charge was a felony due to a prior DWI conviction within the past 10 years, stemming from a December 2005 stop while driving an all-terrain vehicle in Port Leyden.

Mr. Rocker was additionally charged with failure to signal a turn, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, having switched license plates, having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle and operating a vehicle with no insurance.
