GOUVERNEUR St. Lawrence County sheriffs deputies on Thursday charged Benjamin D. Facey, 22, of 55A Prospect St., with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.
Deputies allege that Mr. Facey got into a fight with his 33-year-old girlfriend at their home, where he pushed her against a wall, forcibly restrained her and refused to let her go. The incident allegedly took place in front of children ages 1 and 2.
Deputies would not release the names of the alleged victims and said it was unclear whether the children belonged to the couple.
Mr. Facey was arraigned in Fowler Town Court and released under probation supervision. A no-harassment order of protection was issued in favor of the alleged victim.
The terms of the order allowed the couple to live together as long as Mr. Facey does not commit any crime against her.
