PARISHVILLE — State police on Wednesday charged Michael S. Hack, 40, of 1414 Old Potsdam-Parishville Road, with misdemeanor second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment, a violation.

Troopers said they responded to the Potsdam Village Police Department, where an alleged victim filed a complaint against Mr. Hack saying that at 11 p.m. Tuesday she and Mr. Hack allegedly got into an argument that became physical. The woman, who was identified by police as Mr. Hack’s girlfriend, alleged that he grabbed her, pushed her, blocked the doorway and verbally threatened her.

Police would not release the name of the alleged victim.

Troopers picked Mr. Hack up at his home following the complaint Wednesday.

He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.
