PHILADELPHIA—A Gouverneur woman suffered back pain as a result of a Thursday morning accident on Route 11.

Deputies said Sylvia L. Taylor, 26, of 1 Mill St., was following a snowplow too closely at 10:16 a.m. and struck its rear when the plow stopped to turn left.

The town snowplow, operated by Keith A. Bleam, 46, of 31995 Bleam Road, suffered minor damage, but Ms. Taylor’s 2007 Honda suffered significant damage to the front.

Mr. Bleam said he saw Ms. Taylor behind him, recognized that she was not going to stop in time and let off the brake in an effort to lessen the impact.

Ms. Taylor was taken from the scene via ambulance to an area hospital, where she was treated for her injuries. No tickets were issued.
