MASSENA — Patrick Manning and Tyler Young each scored one goal and assisted on another to lead the Massena hockey team to a 6-1 victory over Salmon River in a Northern Athletic Conference Division I game Wednesday.

Evan Kassian, Ryan Thomas, J.P. Reagan and Ben Sprague also scored for Massena (12-4 overall, 10-0 division). Sean David scored for the Shamrocks (5-8-2, 3-5-1).

POTSDAM 4, ST. LAWRENCE 4 (OT)

Lucas Arquiett scored with 54 seconds left in the third period to help the Larries (9-5-1, 6-3-1) salvage a tie with the Sandstoners in an interdivision game in Brasher Falls.

Arquiett and Luke Peets each scored two goals for the Larries.

Logan Ford scored twice to pace Potsdam (5-8-1, 4-3-1). Corson Green and Josh Locey also scored for the Sandstoners.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

CHATEAUGAY 33, MADRID-WADDINGTON 28

Katie Beach scored nine points and Caitlin Miller snagged 12 rebounds as Chateaugay (11-3, 9-1) handed Madrid-Waddington its first East Division loss of the season in Madrid.

Olivia Parmeter led Madrid-Waddington (10-3, 8-1) with a 13-point effort.

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 64, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 47

Jenna Dufrane scored 16 points to lead Brushton-Moira (8-4, 8-3) past host Parishville-Hopkinton in an East Division game.

Kirstin Barrett added 14 points for Brushton-Moira. Miranda Collins scored 12 points to lead Parishville-Hopkinton (3-7).

BEAVER RIVER 38, LOWVILLE 37

Emma Puddington scored the winning basket with 11 seconds remaining to lift the Beavers to a crossover victory at Beaver Falls.

Puddington finished with nine points, nine rebounds and three blocks for Beaver River (6-7). Hailie Lehman and Sierra Neddo also scored nine points each as the Beavers squandered a 10-point lead in the last four minutes and trailed by a point with 22 seconds left.

Alexis Bach scored 16 points for Lowville (2-12, 1-12)

BOYS BASKETBALL

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 59, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 31

Adam Martin scored 24 points to lead Brushton-Moira to a win over host Parishville-Hopkinton (2-12, 1-11) in an East Division game. Alex Burnett tallied 12 points for Brushton-Moira (7-7, 5-5).

LOWVILLE 55, BEAVER RIVER 33

Kyle Malik scored 20 points to lead the Red Raiders to a home crossover win over the Beavers.

Brian O’Conner hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points for Lowville (3-11).

Dustin Neddo paced the Beavers (3-12, 3-11) with 10 points.

VOLLEYBALL

WHITESBORO 3, LOWVILLE 2

Madison Kosuda registered 27 kills and 19 digs to help the Warriors gain a 24-26, 25-7, 25-10, 18-25, 25-13 nonleague victory at Lowville.

Danielle Royal handed out 47 assists, and Meagan McCoy finished with 27 digs for Whitesboro (9-3).

For the Red Raiders (5-10), Laura Platz supplied six kills and 18 digs. Isabelle Hanno contributed 14 assists and three aces, and Charity Gingerich made 14 digs.
