PARISH — An Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior/Senior High School student was arrested on multiple charges after state police said she punched two school employees.

Stacey L. Henderson, 16, of Altmar, was arrested at 6 p.m. at the state police barracks in Hastings and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment.

Police said that at 1:46 p.m. Jan. 9, Miss Henderson was having a verbal altercation with another student. When Kristen Jetty, who serves as the assistant principal for grades nine through 12, intervened, police said, Miss Henderson punched her.

According to police, Miss Henderson also struck Virginia Brown, a teacher’s aide.

Ms. Brown was not injured, but police said Ms. Jetty suffered a concussion and required treatment at the urgent care center at the Central Square Medical Center.

Because of the charge that Miss Henderson injured a school employee on school grounds, the assault charge was in the second degree, a class F felony.

She was arraigned in Parish Town Court and sent to the Oswego County jail, Oswego, on $500 bail.
