LOWVILLE A Natural Bridge man was admitted to the Lewis County Drug Court program Tuesday after admitting to multiple thefts.
Jeremiah L. Markwick, 24, North Croghan Road, pleaded guilty in County Court to third-degree grand larceny, third-degree burglary and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, also satisfying a fourth-degree criminal mischief charge. He was entered into Drug Court. He was accused of entering a building owned by Rodney Turck in Croghan on June 17 and possessing a 2002 Ford Ranger belonging to Mr. Turck, and damaging the windshield of a Ford Escort belonging to Michelle Arnold in 2011. He also was accused of stealing $4,185 worth of steel I-beams, belonging to Brian Gerber, between Jan. 16 and Jan. 22 in the town of Diana.
