A Watertown man was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon for allegedly striking a man in the face with a golf club.
Thomas E. Rose II, 24, of 312 Gale St., was arrested at 1:29 a.m. at his residence on the two charges. According to police, he struck Robert M. Krom, same address, in the face with a golf putter. Police said Mr. Krom suffered swelling and a cut under his right eye, as well as substantial pain.
Mr. Rose was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and held pending arraignment in City Court.
