Ms. McKeown has been instrumental in the chambers role in FishCap which promotes the St. Lawrence River valley as a fishing destination and worked with the town of Waddington to host the Bassmaster Elite Series. She has overseen chamber initiatives that include business spotlights, the annual junior carp tournament, the holiday Craft, Food and Wine Show, and the Really Big Show.
I never sought this job, but once I was in it, I realized what a great opportunity it was to apply everything I knew for the betterment of the county, Ms. McKeown said in a statement. Ive never had a job that was simultaneously such fun, so exciting, and, without question, the most challenging prospect for expansion all at the same time.
