TURIN Jayne Strigle recorded 43 digs to help lift the South Lewis volleyball team to victory over South Jefferson during a Frontier League interdivision match Wednesday.
The Falcons won, 25-19, 24-26, 27-25, 25-17.
They were every consistent with their ball handling and their passing was sharper, South Jefferson coach Warren Denny said.
Coming into the matchup, both teams had only lost to Beaver River this season.
Strigle finished with 16 digs in the second game to tie her school record for digs in a game.
Chloe Stinebrickner finished with 21 assists, 15 service points, five aces and 15 digs, while Jaedyn Ossont supplied six kills and 16 digs.
Marissa Brown added nine kills, four blocks and three aces for South Lewis (9-1 overall, 8-1 league).
For the Spartans, Janessa Vaadi registered 13 kills and two blocks. Ellie Brooks provided 21 assists and 10 digs, and Leah Denny hit 10 kills for South Jefferson (7-2).
