The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Florencio J. Verdugo, 23, of 228 Barnhart Road, Massena, was charged by state police with felony DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation and using a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.

Police said Mr. Verdugo was stopped on East Orvis Street in the village of Massena for insufficient taillights. They said his license was suspended because of a previous DWI conviction.

Mr. Verdugo also was driving someone else’s car that didn’t have an interlock device, which takes the driver’s breath sample before starting. He has been required to have such a device, according to police.

Police said Mr. Verdugo refused a breath test and is being held at the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, without bail.

n Andrew E. Cox, 19, of Fort Drum, was charged by state police with aggravated DWI at 11:39 p.m. Friday on Route 26 in the town of LeRay.

He also was charged with failure to use a designated lane, moving from a lane unsafely and driving on the shoulder of the road.

Mr. Cox’s blood alcohol content was listed as 0.19 percent.

Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication. A charge of aggravated DWI is lodged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.

n Corey L. Williams, 20, of Lanner Lane, was charged by state police at 2:17 a.m. Saturday on Route 11 in the town of Pamelia.

He also was charged with speeding. His BAC was listed as 0.14 percent.

n Kenneth D. Morrison, 60, of Lowville, was charged by state police at 8:25 p.m. Friday on Number Four Road in the town of Watson. He also was charged with having an inadequate muffler and failure to keep right on a two-lane road. His BAC was not listed.

n John T. Teal, 28, of 5755 Patridgeville Road, Brantingham, was charged by state police at 2:15 a.m. Saturday at his home.

He also was charged with failure to keep right on a two-lane road. His BAC was not listed.
