A man and a woman from Watertown and a Theresa man were arrested after city police allegedly found them to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
According to police, James W. Madill, 48, of 140 High St., Apt. 2, was joined at his residence by Gary A. Collins, 35, of 33340 Route 46, Theresa, and Dawn M. Rankin, 47, of 217 S. Pleasant St. When police arrived, they found methamphetamine in plain sight on a glass plate. Police said Mr. Collins and Mr. Madill also were found to have marijuana.
Mr. Madill was arrested at 12:47 a.m. Friday and charged with one count each of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Mr. Collins was arrested at 9:24 p.m. Thursday and charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana, and Ms. Rankin was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Thursday and charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. All were arrested at Mr. Madills High Street residence.
All three were taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, where Mr. Collins and Mr. Madill were held on $2,500 cash bail and Ms. Rankin was held on $1,000 bail. All three will be arraigned in City Court.
