CAPE VINCENTMatthew L. Yates, 27, of 154 Bay St., was arrested Tuesday after he was accused by state police of threatening a man with a knife and damaging a boat.
According to state police, he was at Anchor Marina, 583 E. Broadway, on July 14 when he got into an argument with a group of people on a boat. During the exchange, Mr. Yates allegedly pulled out a small folding knife and threatened to stab a man. Police said he then left the scene, came back with a cinder block and threw it at the boat, causing approximately $2,000 in damage.
He was arrested at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday at the Alexandria Bay state police department and charged with third-degree mischief.
He was issued an appearance ticket for Town Court.
