TURIN — Chloe Stinebrickner recorded 18 assists, three digs, three aces and two kills as the South Lewis volleyball team opened the season with a 25-14, 25-16, 25-8 Frontier League “C” Division win over Thousand Islands on Monday.

Jayne Strigle also contributed four aces and four digs for South Lewis (1-0).

Miquella Farris had six kills and Paige Durdon six service points for Thousand Islands (0-1).

LOWVILLE 3, INDIAN RIVER 0

The Red Raiders swept the host Warriors 25-20, 25-9, 25-18 in an interdivision match at Philadelphia.

For Lowville (1-0), Lindsey Golas contributed eight kills, Ashley Stocking added five kills and Isabelle Hanno notched 13 assists and four aces.

Meaghan LaClair had six kills, two aces and two blocks for Indian River (0-1). Bianca Mundy recorded five aces and nine digs, and Kasey Ford had 12 assists and three digs.
