City police charged Mark S. Remington, 26, of 613 Franklin St., Apt. 1, with third-degree assault after he allegedly punched another man.
During the incident, which took place around 11:40 p.m. Sunday at 260 Washington St., the office of the Watertown Daily Times, police said Mr. Remington punched Leroy Draper in the face with a closed fist, causing abrasions, swelling, bruising and broken bones.
Charged around midnight Monday, Mr. Remington was held on $500 bail pending arraignment in City Court.
Both men are employees of the Times. Following the incident, Mr. Remington was dismissed.
