PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - New York State Police charged Rebecca C. Weeks, 18, of Marcellus and Tara J. Williams, 18, of Westtown with petit larcey after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 2:53 p.m. Monday at the Potsdam Walmart. Troopers said they were charged with shoplifting a stereo headset and make-up with a total value of $28.50 from the Potsdam Wal-Mart. They were issued appearance tickets for Nov. 21 in Potsdam Town Court.

BENCH WARRANT - WINTHROP - New York State Police picked up Brian J. Snyder, 27, of 805 state Highway 11C, Brasher Falls, on Tuesday on a bench warrant issued by the Stockholm Town Court on Oct. 3 for failing to appear in court on a petit larceny charge. He was arraigned by Massena Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $500 cash or $1,000 bond, to reappear Nov. 20 in Stockholm Town Court. St. Lawrence County Court Judge Jerome J. Richards had also signed a bench warrant on Sept. 3, and Snider was taken to Canton without bail to await an appearance in county court.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - CANTON - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents on Monday as wintry road conditions were the norm in higher elevations. Among the accidents:

■ Trevor N. Dunning, 38, of Potsdam at 7 p.m. on the Old Potsdam - Parishville Road, near Woodruff Road, in the town of Parishville.

■ Gavin W. McCarthy, 19, of Potsdam at 8:36 p.m. on Pine Road, near Gulf Road, in the town of Colton.

■ Tammy Lee Lapage, 49, of Moira at 12:45 a.m Monday on Route 95, near Best Road, in the town of Moira.
