The Frederic Remington Art Museum recently received a very generous gift from Dr. Ravinder N. Agarwal and Barbara C. Agarwal.

With their recent $25,000 gift, Dr. Ravinder N. Agarwal and Barbara C. Agarwal of Ogdensburg, NY have made a big difference as the Frederic Remington Art Museum nears completion of its 5-year Centennial Campaign. The museum is nearly finished with fundraising for this essential work. The Agarwals chose to give at the end of the project, with the hope that their gift will inspire others to help the museum meet its goal. The campaign has brought in almost $1,500,000. Thanks to the Agarwals’ generosity, only $50,000 more is needed.

The museum is especially pleased at this timely and significant contribution. It adds to the already impressive local support from individuals, service clubs and businesses, raising the local support amount from $92,500 to $117,500. Much of this local money came through the “My Hometown, My Museum” campaign, where alumni of Ogdensburg schools were invited to sponsor a brick for $25.

Weather permitting, restoration of the museum’s original building, the 203 year old Parish Mansion will be complete this fall. Each day, progress by contractor Continental Construction is evident. Now is a great time to take inspiration from the Agarwals’ generous gift and be a part of the museum’s success. The newly restored Parish Mansion is expected to be a secure and beautiful home for the museum for the foreseeable future.
