ADAMS — A woman was ejected from a motorcycle in an accident Friday night on Interstate 81 in the town of Adams.

According to Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies, a motorcycle operated by Leonidas A. Tardif Jr., 51, Adams Center, slipped on gravel on the Exit 41 northbound on-ramp and exited the left side of the interstate into the median.

There, a passenger riding on the motorcycle, Shirley L. Weiss, 66, no address given, was thrown from the bike, suffering visible wrist injuries and possible internal injuries, deputies said.

Ms. Weiss was taken by the South Jefferson Rescue Squad to Upstate Medical University, Syracuse. On Sunday night, a nursing supervisor at the hospital listed Ms. Weiss in fair condition. No tickets were issued.
