ADAMS — Courtney Cavellier scored seven minutes into the second half and South Jefferson held on for a 1-0 victory over Beaver River in a Frontier League girls soccer crossover game on Thursday.

Sidney Hall provided the assist for the Spartans, who improved to 13-1-2 and clinched the Frontier League “B” Division championship outright.

Beaver River dropped to 6-6-3.

THOUSAND ISLANDS 3, GENERAL BROWN 0

Katelyn Docteur’s two goals led the Vikings to a crossover win versus the Lions in Clayton.

Morgan Robbins supplied a goal and an assist, and Aliceson Cornaire stopped six shots for Thousand Islands (12-3).

Chelsea VanTassel stopped 16 shots for General Brown (0-14).

LOWVILLE 3, SOUTH LEWIS 1

Emma St.Croix and Mackenzie Marti provided second-half goals as the Red Raiders beat the Falcons in a crossover game at Turin.

Selena Beller also scored and Alexis Bach made five saves for Lowville (12-3-0).

Jenna Rogers scored on a direct kick for South Lewis (3-8-3).

GIRLS SWIMMING

SOUTH JEFFERSON 106, LOWVILLE 77

Hannah Markey, Anna Docteur and Kayla Vanderpool each won three races as the Spartans beat the Red Raiders for a Frontier League interdivision win in Adams.

Markey took first in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle and was a part of the 200 relay with Docteur, who also won the 200 and 500 freestyle for South Jefferson (9-2, 8-2).

Vanderpool earned victories in the 100 backstroke, 200 individual medley and 200 medley relay team.

Megan Denise and the 400 freestyle relay team of Kelsey McLean, Megan Lazarus, Emily Birchenough and Grace Metzler placed first in the diving competition for Lowville (7-2).
