POTSDAM Science sessions at the Potsdam Public Library for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders are continuing through the school year.
Sarah L. Sachs, youth services librarian, who had been hosting summer science sessions for up to 15 children per session has decided to continue them from 1:30 to 2:30 on Saturdays once a month.
The kids and parents are really excited about it, Ms. Sachs said.
Ms. Sachs, whos been a librarian in Potsdam for 14 years, said this Saturday will make the second session since school started and will teach children about electricity and magnetism.
She said the sessions have been mapped out over the course of the school year according to the Dewey decimal system as a way of picking topics.
Astronomy was the first topic discussed.
