COLTON - Starting this week sponsored ads supporting the town of Coltons Recreation Program are being installed in the Pavilion at Swift Field in the hamlet of South Colton.
Northeastern Sign is producing the impact-resistant ads for the towns Department of Public Works to mount on boards surrounding the interior perimeter of the Pavilion. The ads, to be displayed for three years, will be seen by people using the Pavilion for a variety of recreational activities, concerts, flea markets and other events throughout the year.
While ads are being installed, the towns Tourism & Beautification Committee continues to approach organizations, businesses, families and individuals about supporting the town in this way.
Ruth McWilliams said, We will take orders for both full- and half-size ads at least through the month of October in anticipation of having more boards filled by the time winter arrives and the Department of Public Works converts the Pavilion to an ice skating rink.
The one-time price for a full-size ad measuring 3 feet high by 5 feet long is $350. A half-size ad measuring 3 by 2 ½ feet costs $275. Business and organization ads typically include a logo or image plus a tag line along with contact information. Families and others may want to include an image and text honoring people, places, things or events important to them.
The modest cost of the three-year ads does not include design assistance by Northeastern Sign. If design assistance is needed, then sponsors need to either work with graphic artists at Northeastern Sign or elsewhere for a possible additional charge.
Anyone interested in learning more about the ads or placing an order can contact Ruth McWilliams at (315-262-2450) or Scott Muller (315-244-9956). The order form also is available in the Colton Town Hall located at 94 Main Street in the hamlet of Colton. And it is available on the town website (http://www.townofcolton.com).
