OSCEOLA — An Osceola campground owner on Sunday was accused of damaging a DirecTV dish belonging to a camper.

Joseph A. Sarcone Jr., 59, of 1132 Comins Road, co-owner of Cedar Pines Campgrounds, was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies with fourth-degree criminal mischief, along with two counts of second-degree harassment.

Mr. Sarcone was accused of, on Sept. 23, using the backhoe attachment on a Kubota tractor to remove a metal pole with the TV dish mounted on it, damaging the equipment, and making harassing comments to the camper’s two children. Deputies did not disclose the identities of the alleged victims.

Mr. Sarcone is to answer the charges in Osceola Town Court.
